Whitewash

It is standard practice to whitewash (or more usually in Hanoi, yellow-wash) walls with a thin coat of paint, applied with a broom like brush. What I always find interesting it that they never use a drop sheet, so the paint is splattered along the pavement for many months or even years before it washes off.
